BETON Berlin richtet den Blick auf Orte, Räume und urbane Situationen, die im Alltag oft übersehen werden. Im Mittelpunkt stehen un- oder umgenutzte Bereiche des öffentlichen Raums in Berlin und die Frage, wie Aufmerksamkeit entsteht.
Die Berliner Künstlerin Olga Hohmann betrachtet den öffentlichen Raum als eine Form von Bühne. Orte erscheinen als Kulissen, Wege als Übergänge, Nutzungen und Umnutzungen als Handlungen. Dabei interessiert sie, wie Wahrnehmung durch räumliche und soziale Zusammenhänge geprägt wird.
Für BETON Berlin 31 im Rahmen des Project Space Festival 2026 entwickelt Olga Hohmann
gemeinsam mit Hannah Endrulat eine ortsbezogene Arbeit, die Text, Stimme und körperliche Präsenz miteinander verbindet. Aus Beobachtungen zu Architektur, Öffentlichkeit und alltäglichen Abläufen entsteht eine Performance zwischen Vortrag und Erzählung. Das Publikum und die Nachbar*innen werden Teil des Geschehens.
BETON Berlin focuses on places, spaces, and urban situations that often go unnoticed in everyday life. Particular attention is given to unused and repurposed areas of Berlin’s public space and to the question of how attention is directed and shaped.
Berlin-based artist Olga Hohmann approaches public space as a form of stage. Places appear as settings, pathways as transitions, and acts of use and reuse as forms of action. Her work examines how perception is shaped by spatial and social conditions.
For BETON Berlin 31, presented as part of Project Space Festival 2026, Olga Hohmann, together with Hannah Endrulat, has developed a site-specific work that brings together text, voice, and physical presence. Drawing on observations of architecture, public space, and everyday routines, the performance moves between lecture and narrative. Visitors and local residents become part of the event.
