In der Ausstellung BETON Berlin 25 mit Anne Moder aus Bremen verschränkt sich der Ort, die Situation des Ortes und das Kunstwerk zu einer spannenden Gesamtheit. Dabei spielen "Dinge" eine entscheidende Rolle. Einerseits wenn sie fehlen und andererseits wenn sie Erinnerungen wecken.
Annes Moders Arbeit beruht auf einem Kult-Objekt, einem Ritual und dem Anzeichen dafür, dass Sommer ist und Ferien sind.
In the song “Dinge” by Deichkind (2019), the lyrics go:

Things made of gold, things that fly
Things are cool, things are lame
Things bring focus to the game
Things to want, everyone’s chase
Things thrown out, things lose their place

and so on.
The exhibition BETON Berlin 25, featuring Anne Moder from Bremen, creates a compelling interplay between location, spatial context and the artwork itself. Here too, "things" play a central role – both in their absence and as carriers of memory.
Anne Moder's work is based on an iconic childhood object – associated with rituals, summer and school holidays. It becomes a symbol of the past, of shared cultural memory, and of the everyday elevated through artistic transformation.
